PARTNERS OF THE AMERICAS IN OUR SCHOOL


“COMPAÑEROS DE LAS AMÉRICAS” fue establecida en 1964 con el componente personal de “la Alianza para el Progreso”, de modo que se convierte en la organización privada de voluntarios más grande del Hemisferio Occidental dedicada al desarrollo y el adiestramiento internacional. Cada uno de los 60 "compañeros" de la organización vincula a un estado o región de los Estados Unidos con una zona de América Latina o el Caribe y representa una organización bilateral.    La ciudad de Bogotá esta relacionada con el estado de La Florida, contando en la Junta directiva con el Sr. John Charles Schoch,  Patricia Galbreath, Harold Silva, entre otros importantes líderes, mientras que en Bogotá se cuenta con el Sr. Juan Camilo Benavides, Sr. Jorge Fabián Gonzalez, Anita Liévano, Sr. Manuel Peña quienes lideran en su campo varios proyectos en Educación (bilingüismo) y  medio ambiente (Me lo contó un pajarito) entre otros proyectos.  Cada capítulo, a través de sus miembros, participa en su respectiva comunidad, estado o país recaudando contribuciones en especie y financieras para apoyar sus proyectos.  En nuestra institución educativa hemos tenido la grata visita de estos representantes, quienes han estado siempre al tanto del desarrollo, avances y logros del proyecto “A LITTLE BIRD TOLD ME”. http://www.partners.net/partners/default_ES.asp

Established in 1964 as the personal component of the "Alliance for Progress", “PARTNERS OF THE AMERICAS” is a private voluntary organization Western Hemisphere's largest dedicated international development and training. Each of the 60 "fellowships" of the organization links a state or region of the United States with an area in Latin America or the Caribbean and represents a bilateral organization. Our city Bogota is part of the Fellowship with the state of Florida counting on the Board with Mr. John Charles Schoch, Mrs. Patricia Galbreath, Mr. Harold Silva and other important leaders; in Bogota with Mr. Juan Camilo Benavides, Mr. Jorge Fabián Gonzalez, Mrs. Anita Liévano, Mr. Manuel Peña, who lead in their projects in Education (bilingualism) and environmental (A little bird told me) and others. Through its members, each chapter participates in their respective community, state or country collecting in-kind and financial contributions to support their projects.
